Vermillion

Do you have a bird lover in the family or a person that loves to be outdoors or how about that person that is always tracking what animals are outside today?  Even a nearby nursing home has a bird cage for the residents to watch.  Nearly any person would like to receive this card.

This Young Vermillion stamp retired at the end of May 2012 from Stampin' Up! but this little bird is on my list of stamps to use.  The current stamp set, Made For You, contains this simple happy birthday image.

I paired a retired, Stampin' Up! designer series paper with the current cardstocks soft suede, night of navy, bashful blue and whisper white.  Soft suede ink created the bird image while a night of navy ink refill applied with an Aqua Painter created the blue breast.  Night of navy also inked the happy birthday stamp.

What have you canned this fall?

The Stampin' Up! Holiday Catalog contains a new Perfectly Preserved Bundle that would attract any person in your life including those focused on canning their fall harvest. Created exclusively with stamps from the Perfectly Preserved stamp set, this card captures the last bright images from summer. Apples, pears, corn, cherries and two different flowers coordinate with the canning jar and lid found in this stamp set. My card does not feature the coordinating framelit dies that are part of the Perfectly Preserved Bundle, but these perfectly frame the images and help you create layered projects without cutting each image with a scissors. This card contains all Stampin' Up! products: Perfectly Preserved stamp set Cardstock: whisper white, midnight muse, gumball green Classic Ink: marina mist, midnight muse, gumball green Accessories: Stampin' dimensionals, 1/8" taffeta ribbon in marina mist Punch: small oval Big Shot with large scallop edgelit die Watch my blog for more fall creations as I try to use up my old products while playing with the new ones. Use It All This Fall

After being a demonstrator for so many years, I have accumulated plenty of supplies (and stamps)!   My cabinet still protects cardstock that was retired in 2005 during a color renovation.  A few of life's events have prevented me from focusing my energy on getting these supplies used up, so I have decided to try my best to use it up this fall.  This card features the current stamp set "Curly Cute" words with a flower from a retired hostess set all mounted on top of green galore and designer series paper from years ago.  It is amazing how the current Melon Mambo ink looks great with this designer series paper.  This paper has been around so long that it is not even double-sided.

Spring Semester

Taking classes at our local university consumed a lot of my time during the past few months.  My card creations have been flourishing.  At the last craft show that I participated in, nearly 300 cards were available for sale.  Nearly everyday, I would feel stressed and take just 10 minutes to make some cards.  Those cards turned out to be wonderful stress relievers.  All of the typing for class discouraged further time spent on the computer.  Since the new Stampin' Up! catalog premiers only days from now, I wanted to update my blog with a card that I created with products in the 2012-2013 Stampin' Up! catalog.

All Stampin' Up! products:
Baby Prints stamp set
Short & Sweet stamp set (retiring May 31)
Colors: calypso coral, daffodil delight and going gray
Others: Big Shot with Tasteful Trim Die
1/4" stitched grosgrain ribbon in daffodil delight

More Wishful Thinking

The weather channel predicts a large snow storm in our area soon.  The chickens are busy scratching up the yard that should be covered in snow this time of  year.  The deer crossed the field early today, and I usualy do not see them wondering around until dusk.  No matter what the weather channel and animals are predicting, I am still thinkinkg about spring.

The pictured designer series paper, Attic Boutique, coordinates with a variety of products that has caught everyone's attention in the Occasions Mini Catalog.  Let me know if you need a copy of this catalog.

All supplies are Stampin' Up! exclusive-
Stamps: petite pairs and faith in nature which is a current exclusive hostess item
Paper: pool party and very vanilla cardstock, Attic Boutique designer series paper
Ink: soft suede classic ink pad and pool party stamin' write marker
Big Shot with the Tulips embossing folder

Wishful Flowers

The sun shines bright outside my window; however, the cold wind reminds you of the season the second you step outside the door.  Thankfully, I can create all of the flowers that I love to see all year long with my Stampin' Up! products.
Although the picture does not show it wonderfully, your fingers would still feel the embossed flowers that have been colored over with marker.

Supplies:
Petite Pairs stamp set
Big Shot with Flower Garden embossing folder
Colors for cardstock, classic ink pad and markers include Regal Rose, Blushing Bride and Pear Pizzazz

All products used on my blog are exclusive of Stampin' Up!

Welcome to the New Year!

The New Year began already two weeks ago, and I am still typing 2011.  This calculates as Valentines Day being a month away.  Today, I decided to share a card that I created awhile ago with the Greeting Card Kids stamp set from Stampin' Up!  While this stamp set was first introduced in the 2010-2011 Stampin' Up! Idea Book & Catalog, many people still favor it.  I created this card to use at a stamp camp during August 2010.  Below you find a complete list of the supplies that I used to create this card.  All products are exclusive of Stampin' Up!

Stamp Set: Greeting Card Kids
Cardstock: cherry cobbler, pretty in pink, whisper white, glossy white
Stampin' Write Markers: blush blossom, cherry cobbler, pretty in pink, early espresso
Big Shot with Vintage Wallpaper textured impressions embossing folder and the Lattice die.
The small heart punch and pretty in pink 1/4" grosgrain ribbon complete the project.
